Conveying Emotion

When I carry out bondage, domination-submission, or sadomasochism photoshoots, I often emphasize dimensions such as aesthetics, symbolism, and the evocation of emotions.

The "conveying of feeling" is more important in this field than the "showing". My work as a photographer aims to evoke emotions such as pleasure, pain, tension, or submission.

As a result, I photograph and film people and objects, not for what they are, but for the emotions they evoke in BDSM enthusiasts.

Building Aesthetic Around Bondage

In the world of Bondage, a photo devoid of aesthetic dimension can quickly cause discomfort. On the other hand, a photo that exudes harmony is more likely to be seen as "pleasant to look at" by a wider and uninitiated audience.

During photo shoots or video recordings, I aim to highlight the aesthetic in the dominant/submissive interactions and the objects used.

Here are the elements I focus on to create aesthetics:

• Highlighting accessories: ropes, leather, chains, high heels, torture machines, whips, cages,
• Textures and materials: leather, metal, latex...
• Surfaces and their contrasts: shiny, matte, or rough...
• Lighting effects: shadows, chiaroscuro, harsh lights, vivid colors...
• Unusual angles and compositions
• Submission, domination, suspension poses that suggest powerful emotions
